Dear Friend,
The United States and Israel have announced a massive joint
military exercise. Thousands and
thousands of U.S. troops will be heading to Israel to take part in missile
defense drills, a move clearly aimed at countering the threat posed by Iran to
the Jewish state. The move has some analysts speculating that this exercise
would provide both the opportunity and the means for a serious strike on Iran’s
nuclear capacity.
In
response, Iran has announced yet another military exercise of their own, which
they are calling “Great Prophet.” Coming on the heels of their recently
concluded “Velayat 90” military exercise, this new set of drills seems designed
specifically to place Iranian troops in close proximity to the U.S. and Israeli
forces. The dueling military operations are greatly raising tensions not just
in the Middle East, but around the world.
It is
important to remember as you see and hear reports from the Middle East that the
driving theology behind the Islamic Republic of Iran is grounded on the belief
that war is necessary in order to bring about Muslim rule over the entire
world. Iran’s President Ahmadinejad and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei both
subscribe to the teaching that a “hidden imam” will be revealed following a
bloody war. They believe he is the one who will place the world under sharia
law.
This
belief means that they are not subject to deterrence by threat of retaliation.
Iran is massively larger than Israel, and their extremist leaders would be more
than willing to trade millions of dead Iranians in exchange for hundreds of
thousands of dead Jews. Our prayers for the protection of Israel have never
been more needed than they are right now.

Jewish
Voice is both a voice FOR Israel, sounding the alarm over the grave and growing
threats, and a voice TO Israel, telling them that Yeshua is the Messiah they
seek. Your prayers and financial support make it possible for us to take this
urgent message to God’s Chosen People before it is too late. Thank you so much
for partnering with us in this critical work. God bless you.
To the Jew first and also to the Nations,
Jonathan Bernis
